Pacific Water Association (PWA)
The Pacific Water Association is a regional association of organisations operating in the water and wastewater sectors whose mission is the delivery of quality water-related services that enhance the well-being of people throughout the region. The membership comprises Pacific Island water and wastewater utilities as well as international water authorities, private sector equipment and services supply companies, contractors and consultants.

The PWA operates a temporary secretariat in Apia through KEW Consult Ltd. with a full-time Activities Coordinator and a voluntary part-time executive director assisted by all KEW Consult staff. The executive board of directors comprises of senior managers from some of the utilities in the region through elections at every Annual General Meeting. The current Executive Board are: Patrick Amini, Managing Director, PNG Waterboard (Chairman); Taito Delana, Fiji Water & Sewerage Department (Treasurer), Moefaauo Taputoa Titimaea, Managing Director, Samoa Water Authority (Secretary), John Chaniel, UNELCO Vanuatu and Fonoti Perelini, P-Pacific Consultants.

One of the major objectives of the Association is to ensure that the skills, expertise and also data and information available within the Pacific are well shared through encouraging buddy systems and cost sharing of utilities. The Association will also promote benchmarking activities of performance indicators and assist members to the strengthening process on identified areas of concern.

PWA also will continue to promote partnership with other regional bodies such as SOPAC, SPREP and agencies that may have the same focus and goals especially in protecting the resources and environment in the region.
